Annual Meeting & Author Talk, Tomorrow, September 27

We will vote on a slate of officers and format changes made to the bylaws. You may see the revised bylaws on the Friends website or posted on the Friends bulletin board across from the used books for sale at the Walnut St. entrance of the Millicent Library.

Following this brief membership meeting, at 6:30 pm, true crime writer and author Maureen Boyle will talk about her 2021 book, ”The Ghost: The Murder of Police Chief Greg Adams and The Hunt for His Killer.” Maureen Boyle is an award-winning journalist who has been a crime reporter in New England for decades. She earned a number of national and regional awards for her writing and reporting, including being named New England Journalist of the Year three times. She is the author of three books, including Shallow Graves: The Hunt for the New Bedford Highway Serial Killer, which was honored by the Public Safety Writers Association. She is currently the director of the Journalism Program at Stonehill College and lives in New England with her family.

Thank you, and we hope to see you there!
